Candidate for Lynnfield School Committee
One Year Seat
Vote April 9, 2024
I’m a mom of three who grew up in Lynnfield and moved back with my husband, Craig, in 2013 to raise my family.
I own an small PR agency, Seven Hills Communications, and have been active in Lynnfield in a number of ways, including as Tower Day Parents Forum Co-President, Summer St. School Council parent representative, a former member of the Lynnfield Finance Committee and a former member of the Lynnfield Public Safety Building Committee.
I believe in civic engagement, clear and transparent communication, and leveraging the tremendous talent in this community to keep Lynnfield a leading school district.
Why I’m Running for
Lynnfield School Committee
a focus on communication, collaboration & Moving forward
Lynnfield Public Schools (LPS) is at a pivotal moment. We are facing budget constraints, the need to rebuild the trust and confidence of our stakeholders, and a moment where getting back to supporting our teachers and, in turn, our students is essential.
From conversations with stakeholders across Lynnfield, here are the issues emerging as the major focus for the coming year.
budget challenges
Like towns across Massachusetts, Lynnfield will face budget challenges and that will carry over into LPS. At the same time, student needs are greater than ever.
As a member of the School Committee, I will provide clear communication on the budget, making the case for what LPS needs and instilling confidence in the town and its residents – who ultimately decide on the budget – to move forward.
COMMUNICATION & credibility
Regardless of the decisions that need to be made in the coming year, my goal is to treat Lynnfield’s residents and LPS stakeholders with respect for their input and intellect. My goal is to hear all voices, to take different POVs into account and to provide transparency into decision making to help build the Committee’s credibility.
serving the needs of all students
I hope to collaborate with other Committee members and stakeholders to best serve the needs of all students in our district. When difficult decisions are to be made, I hope to approach those with a clear and shared philosophy around what best serves our students’ needs across the board and ensures an equitable education for all.
